6 Position, 30 Amp DC Power Distribution Board Details
I received and was able to assemble one of the 6 Position, 30 Amp DC Power Distribution boards today. I think they turned out great. This is one of our club fund raising kits we will have available Saturday for $30 at our in person meet. Most circuit boards have 1 oz of copper per square foot. These have 4 oz's as well as extra wide traces to handle the amperage. I have include some pictures below.

Maker March In Person Meet March 16th
Our in-person meet this month will be one were we will building stuff. I find these a lot of fun and the feedback we have received also indicates you all enjoy them as well. We have three different kits we will be offering this year. The first is our 1200 / 9600 baud TNC. Information regarding the TNC can be found here: https://www.wvcarc.com/2018/03/tnc-pi-9k-kits.html
Second will be a new item. It is a 6 position 30 AMP DC distribution board. Information on this item can be found here: https://www.wvcarc.com/p/kit-dc-distribution-board.html
The last item is a 2 Meter roll up J-Pole. These are great for portable use. It looks something like this: https://kb3kai.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/IMG_02171.jpg
We will also have cables to program radios as well as some cables to help people hook their TNC's to their radios. Please sign up below. As a reminder any profits from these kits goes back to the club to help fund activities and maintain the city repeater.

Final Repeater Update
This is the final update on the repeater. In a nutshell, it is done! Today Curtis and I went and finished terminating the final two coax runs and grounded the lightning arresters. Curtis donated a UPS for the packet server and we hooked up the 9600 baud packet radio. I adjusted the repeater so that it would transmit at 30 watts. It was transmitting at 15. It is capable of transmitting at 40, but coverage seems sufficient where it is at. Let me know if you notice anything weird. Hopefully I am able to talk to you all on the repeater at some point. Below are a few pictures and current status of our fire station deployment
Fire Station | Notes |
71 | Under Construction |
72 | Not Started |
73 | Complete |
74 | Needs one Antenna Mounted |
75 | Complete |
76 | Needs one voice radio installed |
